Mission of the Chi Phi Fraternity

Mission: To build better men through lifelong friendships, leadership opportunities, and character development.

Vision of the Chi Phi Fraternity: To grow the organization through a complete dedication to developing the full potential of all our members and building a strong, vibrant alumni network.

The Core Values of the Chi Phi Fraternity: Chi Phi was founded on the basis of Truth, Honor, and Personal Integrity. These are timeless values, which guide the fundamental purposes of the fraternity. As with all dynamic organizations, there is a need to maintain relevancy in the lives of our members and society in general. To that end, Chi Phi has renewed its commitment to the founding values expressed in our ritual: Truth, Honor, & Personal Integrity.

At the same time, Chi Phi has begun to explore a modern set of evolving core values, which can be used to guide our daily activities and functions. These core values offer contemporary definitions of the values that drive Chi Phi.

Friendship: We will engage in mutually enriching relationships.

Respect: We will respect each other, the fraternity, society, and ourselves.

Honesty: We will interact in an open and truthful way.

Responsibility: We will fulfill our moral expectations as individuals and as a group.

Commitment: We will accomplish more than what is expected of us.

Personal Development: We will build better men, better leaders, and better citizens.

Benefits of Membership

Men that join Chi Phi Chapters have an amazing array of possibilities ahead of them. Those men not only have the incomparable experience of lifelong brotherhood, but they hold membership in one of the most distinguished and venerable organizations in the country. Since 1824, Chi Phi members have been invited to contribute to the greater effort of Brotherhood and receive even more opportunities in return. Those men become better leaders through experience, better athletes through competition, better citizens through service, and better students through the assistance of their peers.

Some more specific benefits of membership in The Chi Phi Fraternity include access to an outstanding network of over 40,000 living alumni, excellent social programming to improve your college experience, and educational and leadership training programs such as The Chi Phi College of Excellence and Regional Leadership Alliances.

Through its annual Congress, Chi Phi allows Brothers to actively play a part in the direction of the national organization. One of the only fraternal groups to give supreme authority to its collective undergraduate Chapters, Chi Phi also instills true responsibility and authority in every member.

The Chi Phi Educational Trust, founded in 1930, provides over $65,000.00 in individual scholarships and over $100,000.00 in grants subsidizing educational programs for the Fraternity each year. Recognized as a charitable educational foundation, the Chi Phi Educational Trust receives contributions each year from Chi Phi undergraduate and alumni members, parents, friends, and even other organizations to further the educational programs, scholarships and leadership opportunities of our members.

The benefits of membership in a Chi Phi Chapter are clear. Please feel free to ask any Chi Phi about a specific perk of membership or what it is that they have gained through the organization. Each member has a unique experience and an interesting story to share.
